About me
As an Assistant Professor in experimental cardiology at the UMC Utrecht (Netherlands) my group focusses on the analysis of complex biological data to understand sex differences in atherosclerosis. In addition, we have a strong motivation to valorise our findings into clinically relevant technologies and assays to prevent misdiagnoses of cardiovascular diseases in women.My main vision is to improve healthcare by harnessing the power of complex biology in diverse populations and develop biomarkers to transform patient diagnostics.
