Professional Development 3
Thursday July 9, 2026 13:15 - 14:15 CEST
Professional Development 3: How Do You Bounce Forward?
In your studies and work, you will encounter some thresholds, pitfalls, and other ravines that you may need to climb out of. Here, you will learn how to cope with these issues by increasing your own resilience.
Objectives: Objectives for professional development session 3 are based on Positive Psychology Resilience Frameworks. Anita and Janine share interactive “mindful”, “grit”, “optimism”, “gratitude” and "self-compassion" exercises as a guide to:
1. create your own best strategies for resilience
2. apply them in your personal and professional lives.

Note: Wear comfortable shoes - we will be in the garden. This session includes a brief "mindful walk"/soundscape.

Creativity and Science
Thursday July 9, 2026 14:30 - 17:00 CEST
Anna van Suchtelen and Marc van Mil combine their artistic and educational backgrounds to form an artist-scientist team for Eureka’s creativity program. Their workshop Creativity and Science highlights the false dilemma of considering art and science as binary opposites. The core theme of the workshop is that creativity is not a talent that one either has or does not have: it is a tool that can be activated and deactivated. Through participating in hands-on group activities, students learn when, why, and how creativity can be deployed in their professional lives.
Learning Objectives: Creativity and Science

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
  1. recognize and develop your own creative potential
  2. use your creativity as a tool for generating ideas and solving problems
  3. use your creativity as a tool to facilitate communication and collaboration.
